General Information

Algeria has a population of approximately 37.1 million and is officially named the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.  The country has a arid to semi-arid climate with wet winters and hot dry summers along the coast.  A hot dry and dusty wind is common in the summer months.

Algeria is known for being a captivating and exciting country with plenty of attractions to offer visitors, ranging from the historical monuments to the fashionable cities.  

Algeria's national and official language is Arabic.  Most of the major towns and all the cities have some type of public transport in the form of buses and taxis which make it easier for tourists to navigate the country.

Things to do

The capital city of Algiers offers tourists the ruins at Djemila, Tipasa and Timgad, which are captivating.  Other main attractions are:
